EYE Privacy Policy

Arenberg Sport Pty Ltd (ABN) (‘Arenberg’ or ‘we’) operates a new community platform for creating, sharing and finding the best cycling videos and images. The platform has been developed by cyclists for cyclists and brings together tools that make sharing the cycling experience more engaging while providing a focused community platform for geeking out on your favourite sport (‘Service’).

Arenberg understands the importance of individual privacy, and is committed to the protection of your personally identifiable information (‘Your Personal Information’). This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, storage, use and dissemination by Arenberg of Your Personal Information as part of the Arenberg business operations, including, without limitation, through the operation by Arenberg of the website currently located at http://arenberg.co and associated mobile applications (together, ‘Arenberg Platform’).

By accessing the Arenberg Platform you accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions (available here) which includes your consent to, and authorisation of, the collection, use and disclosure of Your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Collection and Use of Your Personal Information
Arenberg may collect Your Personal Information when you register or use the Arenberg Platform or Service, or by other means such as when you enter our competitions, respond to our marketing activities, or where it is provided to us by our partners under the terms of their own privacy policies.

Your Personal Information that we collect may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, contact details, birth date, gender, occupation and interests. We might also give you the option of providing a photo or video to be associated with your Arenberg user account (‘User Account’). If your personal details change, it is your responsibility to update your User Account with those changes, so that we can keep our records complete, accurate and up to date.

The types of Personal Information we may collect from time to time will vary depending on the nature of your dealings with us.  However, we will only collect Your Personal Information to the extent reasonably necessary to enable us to continue to provide or improve our Services, including without limitation to carry out or enhance the functions offered on the areas of Arenberg Platform that you choose to enter, or to provide, maintain or optimise our Services, and in all cases by lawful and fair means.

As a general rule, we will only use Your Personal Information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or a closely related secondary purpose which you should reasonably expect or which is otherwise permitted or required under Australian privacy law.  For example, to operate and improve the Services, the Arenberg Platform and your experience, and to communicate with you about our offers and Services. We may also collect other information to assist us to provide or improve our Services from public sources such as Facebook and other social media sites and services, including location-based information.

2. Passive Information
When you visit or use the Arenberg Platforms, we may passively collect certain  information and other anonymised data using various technologies such as first and third party cookies and identifiers, internet tags, web beacons, and navigational data collection methods, including but not limited to, log files, server logs, clickstream and Google Analytics Advertising Features (Remarketing with Google Analytics, DoubleClick Platform integrations, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest reporting) (together, ‘Passive Information’). Passive Information is not Personal Information. From time to time Arenberg may also collect from and share Passive Information with third parties.

Passive Information is collected to help us improve our services, and for statistical and marketing purposes. Passive Information can include the type of browser and system you are using, whether you have interacted with any advertisements or links, the address of our websites you have come from and move to after your visit, the date and time of your visit and your server’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.

3. Protecting and Maintaining Personal Information
Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. We will take all reasonable steps to protect the information we hold about you from unauthorised access, use and disclosure, however we cannot guarantee the absolute security of that information, or that our systems will be completely free from third party interception or are incorruptible from viruses.

We do not guarantee that information you send from your computer or mobile device to us over the Internet will be protected by any form of encryption (encoding software), and do not ensure or warrant the security or privacy of Your Personal Information, including payment and account details. You transmit Your Personal Information to us at your own risk.

You are entirely responsible for maintaining the security of your passwords and/or User Account information.

4. Sharing with Third Parties
Your Personal Information may also be used by third party service providers, and to respond to any enquiry you make, in some cases information we collect is transferred overseas.  When you contact Arenberg, we may keep a record of the communication(s) between you and Arenberg to help resolve any issues you might have.

The Arenberg Platform may contain links to third party websites including the networks of our affiliate service providers, advertisers, financial and payment partners, or make available services obtained from third parties, including verification services by third party verification providers.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, or use any services obtained from third party service providers via the Arenberg Platform that requires you to provide Your Personal Information (including sensitive information if relevant) directly to such third parties (for instance third party verification providers), such provision is subject to the terms of these third parties’ privacy policies and terms of use.

We encourage you to review these before disclosing any of Your Personal Information on such websites, as Arenberg does not control, and does not accept any responsibility or liability for, the privacy policy of, and use of Your Personal Information by, any party other than Arenberg.

5. Marketing
When you register or transact on the Arenberg Platform you may be given the opportunity to opt-in to receive updates on our latest services, news and special offers, and those of our affiliate service providers (‘Marketing Material’), via your Arenberg User Account, personal e-mail address, post or telephone.

Once you opt-in to receive Marketing Material, You may, at any time, opt-out of receiving Marketing Material. You can also click on the “unsubscribe” link in any email containing Marketing Material that we send you, or you can request an opt-out by emailing Arenberg using the contact information provided on the Arenberg Platform.

Arenberg may contact you as the result of a referral by another user of the Arenberg Platform who has provided us with contact information, such as your name and email address. The use of contact information received in connection with a referral will be governed by this Privacy Policy. You may, at any time, opt-out of Arenberg’s referral system by emailing Arenberg using the contact information provided on the Arenberg Platform.

Arenberg reserves the right to send you administrative and account-related messages that you may not opt-out of. To cease all communications to you from Arenberg you must close down your Arenberg User Account.

6. Accessing Personal Information
We will allow you to access, edit, update and/ or delete the Personal Information that we hold about you, unless:

we are legally permitted or required to deny you access to, and/ or to retain, the information;


or

you make request(s) that are unreasonably repetitive, require Arenberg to make a disproportionate technical effort (for example, to develop an entirely new system), risk the privacy of others, or would be highly impractical to comply with.
